Wild Bills

The Willamette Wild Bills were founded in 2021, and feature a baseball-loving platypus mascot. He came to Portland from Australia years ago and fell in love with the culture, baseball and, of course, the terrific food he finds by the bucketful in the wonderful Willamette.

It’s hard to argue that the Willamette Wild Bills are the most surprising team of the 2021 season! The Wild Bills have been the definition of steady and consistent from the moment they played their first game. Their bats do most of the damage as standout players like Michael Soper and Durham Sunberg have been raking non-stop all season long. The Wild Bills are clearly in the driver’s seat as the season is reaching the climax, but then again, no one should be shocked that the Wild Bills are thriving in the Wild Wild West!

It also helps that Will Taylor of the Baseball Bat Bros is your base coach and is winning you Home Run Derbys!

Oy, PLATYPUS?

The Wild Bills are the wild card team in the Wild Wild West League. They represent international friendship, the unexpected, and are just as weird as Portland. Supporting the Willamette Wild Bills means you will support a good time! New on-field hat, just released, by official league.
